Coordination chemistry, organometallic chemistry – Redox active ligands – Lanthanide and uranium chemistry – Small Molecule Activation – Molecular magnetism – Supramolecular chemistry

Our group is interested in developing new functional molecular and supramolecular architectures based on d and f block elements. We develop methods to stabilize these metals in unusual oxidation states and our goal is the discovery of  molecular complexes  with unusual structure, properties and reactivity.
We are particularly interested in the design of highly reactive complexes with metal based and ligand based reactivity for the transformation of very unreactive molecules such as N2 or CO2, the design of uranium uranium based clusters and molecular magnets, lanthanide based luminescent molecular and supramolecular systems.
